IT2media moves into a new dimension with AD3D
Munich, April 15th 2009. Many advertisers want to present the benefits of what they offer in a detailed, creative way. But conventional online advertising often fails to offer sufficient space for the messages they want to get across. “The solution to this problem lies in three-dimensional advertising spaces,” says Claudia Kaiser, Product Manager of IT2media GmbH, Munich.
AD3D allows users to tap into a whole new dimension of online advertising. For example, providers can use the six sides of a revolving cube as advertising space. IT2media calls this new concept “Online Advertising3”. Potential customers are provided with a hands-on way of finding out about the products and services on offer, and advertisers finally have sufficient space to present benefits in full detail.
The technology behind this application can be dynamically controlled, enabling easy display on all platforms. The standardised entry of data enables effective, consistent and complete transfer of the data. In a few easy steps, the file is available for incorporation in online directories or websites.
From the outset, the AD3D team also took into consideration the workflow of directory media and agencies. In order to ensure that the latter’s field staff are able to present the possibilities of the new advertising format to maximum effect, they developed AD3D Web Showcase. This presentation solution includes demo cubes which clearly illustrate the benefits. In order to enable the data to be processed in-house, the IT2media team developed the AD3D Generator: this can be used for easy processing of orders brought in by field staff, generating 3D shapes and saving the finalised data. Once the direction of rotation, speed of rotation and size of the shape have been set, the advertising element is ready for integration in online directories and websites. “With AD3D, our customers not only have an attractive advertising tool but also smart applications which are easy for them to incorporate in existing processes,” says Claudia Kaiser.
